Pasifika and Māori weddings are not a five-hour Western timeline with a few extra photos. There are ceremonies before the ceremony, presentations that can run an hour, speeches that matter more than the cake, and a guest list that can pass 400. We build coverage around that reality.

Your customs, photographed properly

Every family does things a little differently. Before your day we sit down and go through your specific order of events, so we know what is coming and where to stand — instead of reacting a beat too late.

Samoan weddings

From the fa’aaloalo of the ceremony to the ‘ava, the siva samoa and the fa’alavelave that brings the whole aiga together — we know these days run long and run rich. We plan coverage around the whole celebration, not just the church hour, and we always make time for the formal aiga portraits that matter for generations.

Tongan weddings

Ta’ovala and kiekie, the kava ceremony, the tau’olunga, and the presentation of koloa and mats — a Tongan wedding is layered with meaning, and each layer deserves to be photographed properly. We stay through the feasting and the speeches, because that is where the day lives.

Fijian & Indo-Fijian weddings

Whether it is a traditional iTaukei ceremony with the tabua and meke, or an Indo-Fijian celebration across several days, we cover the full arc — the preparations, the ceremony, the sevusevu, and every generation of family in one frame.

Tuvaluan weddings

Fatele, feasting and a whole community turning out — Tuvaluan weddings are joyous and communal, and we photograph them that way: wide enough to hold the whole hall, close enough to catch a grandmother’s face.

Papua New Guinean weddings

Bilas and traditional dress, bride price and clan customs, and the blend with a church or Western ceremony that many PNG couples in Auckland choose. We take the time beforehand to understand your family’s specific customs so nothing is missed.

Niuean weddings

Hiapo, the hair-cutting ceremony, and a celebration where the extended family in Auckland and back home are equally present — livestreaming is often part of the plan, and we can handle that from the same team.

Māori weddings

A pōwhiri and karanga to open the day, waiata, a haka for the couple, and the deep significance of whānau and marae. We approach every tikanga Māori wedding with respect and consultation first — we ask, we listen, and we photograph what your whānau tells us matters.
