SuperGibo covers multi-day and cultural weddings in Auckland as a single booking — from two events to seven across a week. Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Middle Eastern, Pasifika and Māori celebrations, with second shooters for large guest counts. Multi-day pricing costs less than booking each day separately.
A wedding week is not one long wedding day
Because epic love stories deserve more than one chapter. A multi-day wedding is four separate events with four different lighting situations, four guest lists and four moods — and a photographer who has only ever shot single-day weddings will treat it like one long Saturday and run out of energy by the reception.
The haldi is bright, chaotic and outdoors. The mehndi is close, detailed and often indoors at night. The ceremony has fire, smoke, a mandap and a running order that nobody hands you in writing. The reception is a stage, a spotlight and a dance floor. Those are four different jobs, and we plan them as four different jobs.
We have photographed New Zealand weddings since 2015 and won the NZIPP Iris Wedding Category in 2023. More usefully: we know what happens next, so we are already standing in the right place when it does.
Four days, day by day
This is our fullest coverage — roughly twenty hours across three to four days. Not every wedding needs all of it, but this is the shape.
Day 1 — Haldi or pithi
About 3 hours. One photographer and one videographer. Bright, loud and messy, usually outdoors and usually in the middle of the day — which is the hardest light of the whole week and the reason we scout the space first.
Day 2 — Mehndi, sangeet or garba
About 4 hours. Full documentary film of the event, not just highlights. Indoor, low light, close detail on hands and henna, then performances. This is the night the families relax, and it is often where the best frames of the week are.
Day 3 — The ceremony
About 8 hours. Two photographers and two videographers. Baraat arrival, mandap, the havan and the fire, the pheras. We work out the running order with your priest or celebrant beforehand so nobody is asking what happens next while it is happening.
Day 4 — Reception
About 5 hours, plus an on-site editor. Entrance, speeches, cake, first dance. The editor is there so a same-day edit film can play on screen before the night ends — see below, because it is the single best thing you can add.
Every wedding week runs differently
We have photographed Hindu, Tamil, Palki, Gujarati, Punjabi, Sikh, Indo-Fijian, South Indian and Islamic weddings across Auckland and further afield — plus Samoan, Tongan, Māori, Filipino, Chinese and Middle Eastern celebrations that run across more than one day.
If your traditions are not on that list, tell us about them. We will ask questions before the day rather than guess on it.
The same-day edit
A film of your wedding, cut and playing on screen before the reception ends.
Why the same-day edit is worth it
An editor sits on site through the ceremony and the early reception, cutting as we shoot. Before the night ends, a two to three minute film of the day plays on the screen in front of everyone.
It is the loudest room gets all night. It is also the only chance your grandparents, and anyone flying home the next morning, will ever have to watch the film with the whole family in one room. Couples who add it never regret it; couples who skip it usually mention it afterwards.
We bring the projector if the venue does not have one.
Three ways to cover a wedding week
Silver
The main day plus one pre-wedding event. One photographer, and a videographer if you want film. Drone coverage, online gallery, and a complimentary engagement session.
Gold — most booked
Around thirteen hours across two days. Two photographers and two videographers with photo and film — or two photographers on the main day and one on the second with photo only. Cinematic highlight film, full ceremony or reception video, drone, and a complimentary engagement session.
Platinum
Around twenty hours across three to four days. Two photographers, two videographers and an on-site editor. Highlight film of six to eight minutes, full ceremony and reception videos, same-day edit, an Instagram reel, and full documentary coverage of the mehndi and haldi.
Add what you need
Full video of any single event, extra reels, an extended highlight film, livestream for family overseas, a photobooth or 360 booth. Everything is a line item, so you are not paying for coverage you do not want.

Multi-day weddings — the usual questions
Do you cover the haldi and mehndi as well as the wedding day?
Yes, and we would encourage it. The pre-wedding events are where the families are most themselves, and they are usually the photographs people go back to. Our fullest coverage runs across three to four days; smaller options cover the main day plus one pre-wedding event.
How many photographers and videographers do you bring?
It depends on the day. A haldi usually needs one photographer and one videographer. The ceremony gets two photographers and two videographers, because a baraat arrival and a mandap are happening in two different places at once. The reception adds an on-site editor if you want a same-day edit.
Do you know the running order of a Hindu or Sikh ceremony?
Yes — we have photographed Hindu, Tamil, Palki, Gujarati, Punjabi, Sikh, Indo-Fijian, South Indian and Islamic weddings. We still ask. Every family runs it slightly differently, and we would rather go through it with your priest beforehand than guess in the moment.
What is a same-day edit, and do we need one?
An editor works on site through the day and cuts a short film that plays on screen at the reception, before the night ends. You do not need one — but it is the single biggest reaction of the whole night, and it is the only time everyone will watch the film together in one room. We bring the projector if the venue does not have one.
Can you livestream for family overseas?
Yes. Multi-camera with live switching and proper audio, a private link or YouTube URL, unlimited viewers, and a downloadable HD copy within 48 hours. Most couples run it for the ceremony; some add the reception speeches.
Multi-day wedding films
Across two or three days there is far too much for stills alone. The film is where the music, the speeches and the noise of it all survive.
