Ten years, 20–50 weddings a year, and an award shelf that started in 2022. If you’re building a wedding business in New Zealand, I’ll show you what actually worked — and what cost me money to learn.
Who it’s for
Second shooters, switchers and side-hustlers
Most people I mentor are one of three: shooting as a second and ready to lead their own weddings; coming from portraits or events into weddings; or already booking but underpricing and heading for burnout.
I’ll be straight about what your work is worth, what to fix first, and what to ignore. This isn’t a course funnel — it’s a conversation with someone still shooting every weekend.
Multicultural weddings are a specialty here. If you’re nervous about your first Indian, Chinese, Filipino or Pasifika wedding, that’s a good session to book.

One-on-one mentoring
For the photographer with one specific thing stuck. Half-day or full-day · in person in Auckland or over video.
- Bring your own images and we work on them
- Shooting, culling, colour and client communication
- Pricing and packaging reviewed against your market
- Whatever is actually stuck — posing, lighting a dark reception, getting enquiries to convert
- Follow-up notes and a plan you can actually execute

Online sessions
For anyone outside Auckland who wants the same conversation. 60–90 minutes · live over video, recorded.
- Live over video, wherever you are in the country
- Portfolio and gallery review, screen shared
- Editing and colour walkthrough on your files
- Studio systems: enquiry through to delivery

In-person workshops
For hands-on practice with a styled couple and real gear. Small groups · Auckland, and on request NZ-wide.
- Small groups — kept deliberately tiny
- Live shoot with real couples and real light
- Off-camera flash for receptions and low light
- Movement and direction that doesn’t look posed
- Running photo, film and booth as one team

Second-shooting days
For the parts a workshop cannot stage. A real wedding day · limited spots per season.
- Come out on an actual wedding, start to finish
- The timeline, and what happens when it slips
- Family-group chaos, run properly
- The low-light reception, with real deadlines
- The recovery when it rains
