Destination weddings have a problem photography cannot solve: half the people who love you are not there. A grandparent who could not fly, a friend with a newborn, a whole side of the family on the other side of the world.
A film is how they get the day. Not a montage — the actual vows, the actual speeches, in the actual place. It is the difference between them seeing your wedding and them hearing about it.
Filming somewhere everybody travelled to
The trip is the story, not just the day
Nobody flies in for a four-hour wedding. They come for a weekend, sometimes a week. Welcome drinks, the day after, the drive to the venue with everyone crammed in a van — that is where the film finds its warmth. A destination film built only from the ceremony and reception misses the reason people came.
One team, or the logistics eat you
Two separate crews meeting for the first time on a Queenstown ridge with a forty-minute weather window is how shots get lost. We shoot photo and film together, arrive the day before, and scout in the light the day will actually have.
Livestream, if people genuinely cannot come
Where family cannot travel at all, we run a multi-camera livestream with proper audio and a private link, and you get a downloadable HD copy within 48 hours. It is not a substitute for the film — it is for the people who need to watch it happen rather than watch it later. See wedding livestream.
Where we film
Most of our destination work is in New Zealand: Queenstown and Wanaka, Hobbiton, Waiheke and the South Island high country. We also travel overseas — tell us where and we will give you a straight answer on cost and what is realistic.

Before you book
Do you travel overseas for weddings?
Yes. Most of our destination work is within New Zealand, but we travel further when couples ask. Tell us the country and the date and we will come back with an honest cost, not a placeholder.
How is travel charged?
Quoted with your package before you book, never added afterwards. For anywhere outside Auckland we build in arriving the day before as standard — that is not an extra, it is how we scout your ceremony site in real light.
Can family who cannot travel watch it live?
Yes. We run multi-camera livestreams with live switching and proper audio, a private link, unlimited viewers, and a downloadable HD copy within 48 hours.
Should we film the whole weekend or just the wedding day?
If guests flew in, the weekend. Welcome drinks and the morning after are where people are relaxed, and a destination film that only covers the ceremony misses what made the trip worth taking. We will tell you where the extra coverage genuinely pays and where it does not.
Do you shoot photo and video with one team?
Yes, and for destination weddings it matters more than anywhere else. One team, one plan, one set of decisions when the weather gives you a narrow window.
When do we get the film?
The highlight film is contracted at twelve weeks and usually lands around six, delivered on its own so it reaches you while the trip is still fresh. Documentary edits of the full ceremony and reception follow on a longer clock — see packages.
