Engagement &
Pre-Wedding
Photography
A shoot before the wedding — in Auckland, down south, or wherever your story takes you. The best practice you can get for the day itself.
SuperGibo photographs engagement and pre-wedding sessions across Auckland, in city, coastal and vineyard locations. A session is a relaxed way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding, and the images work for save-the-dates, invitations and your wedding website.
The rehearsal nobody tells you about
Almost every couple tells me they’re awkward in front of a camera. An engagement session is where that stops being true. You learn how I work, I learn how you two are together, and by the wedding we’re not strangers with a lens between us.
Auckland, Queenstown and further

Go somewhere worth the flight
A pre-wedding shoot is a good excuse for a trip. I travel for these — a half day around one town, a full day across several locations, or a couple of days if you want the lot.
Sessions start from NZ$1,725 including GST for a two-hour shoot in one location, and go up from there for a half or full day across several locations. Ask me for the current guide and I’ll send the full range.
Astro photography
Under a dark southern sky, with light painting. It takes a clear night and some patience, and you end up with something almost nobody has in their wedding album.

Astro, and helicopters
Astro photography
Tekapo and Mount Cook sit inside a dark sky reserve, and almost nobody offers this as part of a pre-wedding shoot. We stay out after everyone else has packed up and photograph you under the Milky Way. It needs a clear night and a new moon, so we plan the date around it — but when it works there is nothing else like it.
Helicopter shoots
Land on a ridge nobody can walk to. The Remarkables and Cecil Peak above Queenstown are the usual two, and the flight itself becomes part of the shoot. Weather dependent, and worth building a spare day into the trip for.
Pre-wedding films
A short film from your engagement session is the easiest way to get comfortable on camera before the wedding — and it makes a lovely save-the-date.
