An Indian wedding is not one event — it is a week of them, each with its own rituals, its own guest list and its own emotional weight. A photographer who does not know the difference between a Haldi and a Mehndi spends the day reacting. We spend it anticipating.
We know the Vidaai will be the most emotional ten minutes of the entire week, so we are already positioned before it starts. We know the Baraat needs someone out front with the groom and someone waiting at the gate with the bride’s family. We know the Joota Chupai gets loud, and where to stand when it does.
That is the difference cultural fluency makes: nothing has to be staged, because nothing takes us by surprise.

Photo, film, booths and livestream all come from our team. One conversation, one invoice, one consistent look from the first event to the last dance. Livestream matters more for Indian weddings than any other kind we shoot — there is always family in India, Fiji or further who cannot travel.
Venues that hold a
big celebration
Auckland War Memorial Museum, Cordis Auckland, Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Auckland Town Hall, the Civic Theatre, Mahatma Gandhi Centre, The Trusts Arena, Due Drop Events Centre, Markovina, Settlers Country Manor and every banquet hall in between. We know which rooms go dark early, which corner of the Cordis ballroom the light falls in at four o’clock, where you can and cannot stand inside the temple, how long the baraat really takes from the Markovina gate to the mandap, and how long it really takes 400 guests to be seated. Nobody wants to pay a photographer to learn a room on the day.
For the outdoor events — a Haldi in the sun, a garden Sangeet — Allely Estate and the Kumeu and West Auckland wineries give the colour room to breathe.

How many events can you cover?
All of them. Mehndi, Haldi, Sangeet, wedding day and reception — whether that is two events or seven across a week. Multi-day pricing is built for exactly this, and it costs less than booking each day separately.
Do you know our specific traditions?
We have photographed Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, South Indian, Indo-Fijian and Muslim weddings, and plenty of fusions of two families’ traditions. If your family does something we have not seen, tell us at the planning call — we would rather ask twice than miss it once.
Can you photograph inside our temple or Gurdwara?
Yes. We cover head, remove shoes, and speak with the granthi or pandit beforehand about where we can stand during the ceremony. Respect first, photographs second — and both turn out better for it.
How do you handle 300–600 guests?
With a second photographer and, on film bookings, a second videographer — one team on you, one on your families and guests. Nobody important gets missed because everybody important is assigned to someone.
Can family overseas watch live?
Yes — our livestream service broadcasts the ceremony, or ceremony and reception, in full HD. For most Indian weddings we cover, someone’s grandparents are watching from overseas.
When do we see the photos?
A sneak peek within days of each event, and if you book a same-day edit, a film from day one can screen at day two’s reception. Full galleries and films follow on the timeline we agree before the wedding.
What does it cost?
Multi-day photography and film packages are quoted by events and hours — see packages for a starting point, then tell us your event list and we will price the whole week properly.
How far in advance should we book?
Indian wedding season in Auckland peaks from October through April, so we recommend securing your dates 9 to 12 months in advance — especially for multi-day bookings.
How do we find an Indian photographer in Auckland who knows our ceremonies?
Ask to see a complete multi-day wedding, not a highlight set — mehndi, haldi, baraat, ceremony and reception from one wedding. Anyone can show you ten good frames. A photographer who knows the day can show you the whole week, and can tell you what happens after the jaimala without asking.
